The principle vision of CON-RCO is to promote the free exchange of ideas and collaborations between obesity researchers, clinicians and other stake holders in Canada. This website aims to provide a "one-stop shopping" to find who-is-who and who-does-what in obesity in Canada. As such, this website adopts an "open access" approach to networking for its members.
BY BECOMING A MEMBER IN CON-RCO, YOU AGREE THAT YOUR NAME AND CONTACT DETAILS AS WELL AS INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR RESEARCH AND/OR CLINICAL ACTIVITIES AND AREAS OF INTEREST WILL BE PUBLICLY DISCLOSED AND THAT YOU AGREE TO RECEIVE FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING ACTIVITIES OF THE NETWORK, INCLUDING THE NETWORK'S ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTER (TWICE PER MONTH) AND OTHER COMMUNICATIONS.

CON-RCO operates www.obesitynetwork.ca and www.obesitereseau.ca. When visiting www.obesitynetwork.ca or www.obesitereseau.ca, we ask you to use your own prudence and judgement regarding the information that you wish to disclose to the public. As outlined above, the primary aim of the network is to allow free exchange of information between obesity researchers, health professionals and other members of the network. The information we collect is voluntarily given and is visible to any member of the network.
Obesitynetwork.ca and obesityreseau.ca collect information from site visitors to request personal information, areas of expertise/interest etc. to personalize content. We collect contact information (like email addresses, names, telephone numbers and mailing addresses) through these forms. Contact information we may collect is used to customize and personalize content and to help establish contact with other researchers, health professionals, or other stakeholders and for the purposes of record keeping. No financial information will be collected. All data will be stored in a secure database and will not be shared with anyone other than CON-RCO staff or officers. Any employee or officer who violates our privacy and/or security policies is subject to disciplinary action, including possible termination and civil and/or criminal prosecution.
Anyone may request that their information be deleted at any time. Requests to delete personal information should be made by email or telephone.
If you would like to correct or update information that you have previously provided to us you can edit this information on your membership profile.
