The Exchange is developed by Registered Dietitians working in public health. The agenda is practical and addresses the key focus areas of public health nutrition and health-related topics that are based on current or emerging public health issues. The Exchange is a cost-effective way to learn about other health unit’s food and nutrition initiatives, programs and resources. It is also an excellent opportunity to network with others working in public health nutrition and those new to public health practice can build competence by connecting with experienced ODPH members.
The 2018 Exchange theme ODPH: A New Era in Public Health Nutrition has something for everyone and is sure to help prepare you for the exciting changes on the horizon. This year's topics will include: microbiome research, paediatric allergies, senior’s heath and health equity as well as representation from ODPH’s working groups including: food systems, marketing to kids, child care, and healthy eating in recreational settings. We have also devoted an entire half day of our conference to an exciting panel of Food Systems speakers.
