Infographic Design Competition Guidelines
Infographics should highlight a topic that is in line with the Canadian Obesity Network’s vision and mission.
What is an infographic?
An infographic is a visual way to display data or information that makes it easy to understand at a glance. It can take the form of a chart, diagram, or illustration, and usually involves minimal text.
This competition is open to all Students and New Professionals (within 5 years of graduating) with one catch: You must be a CON member to enter. Not a member? It’s free and easy to join!
Initial judging will be done by the CON SNP Executive and then put to a vote by the people of the Internet. Find the bios for all the CON SNP Executives here!
Judges will grade submissions based on:
Submission format - this is up to you! We prefer either JPEG or PDF but remember, visual design is part of the judging criteria so put those design skills to use! We want something we can share with the world. Or at least those in the CON network. For sizing, try and make possible to share on social - long, skinny ratios don’t work too well.
Submissions should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday November 6th 2017 by 11:59pm ET. The SNP Executive will select the semi-finalists and public voting through social media will begin at the end of November. Winners will be announced at the beginning of December 2017.
Final prizes- TBA, however the first place winner will receive one a travel grant and free registration for the Canadian Obesity Student Meeting (COSM) in London, ON, June 2018. All semi-finalists will be featured at the COSM .
